In the third episode of this series, named “Signal,” the storyline unfolds with the creature swiftly eliminating three soldiers. It proceeds to liberate numerous men from their cells, catching the attention of Lieutenant Kato, who interrogates the sole survivor from the cells. Subsequently, the creature undergoes a revival in a new cell within the basement, unleashing tentacles that pierce and assail every man in its vicinity.

Observing the scene, we notice a man standing close to the cell where Lt. Kato and his men are positioned. They shine a light down through a large circular vent to keep an eye on everyone. Unfortunately, the surviving soldiers are being killed by the monster in a brutal manner.

During one of the creature’s attacks, a man named Endo survives but sustains injuries to his chest and face. Despite his pleas for mercy, the creature defeats Endo. The creature grows larger after each killing, causing Kato to feel disheartened.
